Thomas Mitchell primary School has a strong commitment to the care and safety of all students.  We employ a registered nurse between the hours of 9.00am-3.30pm.  The nurse will administer first aid for all injuries and illnesses and follow up with parents if there are any concerns.

Medication can be administered by the nurse however this does need to be supplied to the front office (in its original packaging) together with a medication authority form. 

All medical records are maintained by our school nurse, all health-related action plans need to be annually reviewed and supplied to the school. eg. Asthma Action Plan

The nurse can provide general medical advice to parents and staff and general health advice to students.  Providing education programs as required.
