FUNCTIONS OF A SCHOOL COUNCIL
The functions of a school council are specified in the Training Reform Act 2006 and include:
School Council currently meets in the evenings on the 3rd Tuesday of February, March, May, June, July, August, October, November and on the 2nd Tuesday in December.
Our School Council comprises a total of 15 members:
Each member holds the position for a maximum of two years.
Elections for half the members are held each March.
School Council Sub Committees
Finance sub committee meets at 4.00pm on the Thursday prior to school council meetings. These meetings are chaired by the Treasurer.
The Fundraising sub committee also meets regularly. These meetings are chaired by the Fundraising Committee convenor.
